Scissor and Knife tools
Using the Scissor and Knife tools and the Slice command
Using the Align and Control palettes
Align tool is very much useful to arrange objects neat and organize.
However, If you have compound cells in one obuect, you might need to group them first.
If not, every single cell apart to line up.
Joining and averaging anchor points
Using pen tool has a lot of challange ways to make object either accurate or simplfying with less anchor points.
If you can draw object with less anchor points, it will reduce the file size.
Grouping and ungrouping selections
Grouping and ungrouping objects are handy when you apply the effects together or indivisual.
Especially with Type tool, ungrouping letters mank you to change each letter shape individually and then group them back, you can still rearrange wherever you want as a group.
Using rulers, guides and grids
